Conversations Over Coffee 

Design Rationale

As a part-time barista at an indie cafe in the heart of Damansara, I tend to observe. The regular customers and the people i’ve never seen step foot into the cafe, all share one thing in common. “Can I get a cup of coffee please?”. Couples, groups of teenagers, old-timers, regardless of race and gender all gather at the coffee shop for maybe business meetings, maybe they’re on a date? maybe they’re just hanging out? Truth be told, the majority of us bond over coffee. I’m passionate about my profession as a barista. Therefore, by pursuing this topic, I get to share with everyone an idea of my perspective, as a worker.
